The basic oven (also called storage oven) stands for a long-lasting and healthy heat output. And that is precisely the advantage of this furnace system. Compared to a hot air system that works according to the convection principle and quasi only heats the air, a basic oven gives its heat slowly and evenly as healthy radiant heat to the room - what especially allergy sufferers appreciate. And this is how it works: When the fire in the combustion chamber has started, the hot gases are drawn through a system of fireclay bricks, which absorb and store the heat.
The traction system is designed so that the hot gases first have to run through the whole oven before they pull off through the chimney. The generated heat is stored by the stove and released again over a long period of time. The radiation heat generated in this way does not heat the air, but only the bodies that it encounters - like a sunbeam.
