Fireplaces with outside air connection – for modern, well-insulated homes
In today's well-insulated homes, often with integrated ventilation systems, taking the supply air into account for combustion is crucial. Fireplaces with outside air connection offer the perfect solution:
Supply air from outside
Connecting to an external air supply prevents air from being drawn from the living space. This ensures efficient combustion and a pleasant indoor climate.
Suitable for passive houses
The RLU (room flue-independent) fireplaces are specially designed for passive houses. They are characterized by a high level of airtightness and undergo extensive testing. Equipped with a certificate, they guarantee optimal heating performance and a balanced indoor climate.
Note on certification
The RLU models are not certified by the DIBt (German Institute for Building Technology). Nevertheless, they offer an excellent solution for modern living spaces with high demands on efficiency and environmental friendliness.
With a fireplace with an outside air connection, you can enjoy the coziness of a wood fire without compromising the indoor air quality – ideal for the requirements of modern construction.
Important note: Before purchasing, please speak to your local district chimney sweep and obtain authorisation from them to operate the desired fireplace.
